Moisture control is crucial in fabric covering primarily to prevent mold and deterioration of the fabric. While maintaining the color of the fabric and ensuring a tight fit are important, they are secondary to the more critical objective of preserving the fabric's structural integrity and preventing the growth of mold and other deteriorative factors. Enhancing aerodynamics, although relevant to overall aircraft performance, is not directly influenced by moisture control in the fabric itself.
